Holy Hands with Wedding Bands

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
(Hebrews 13:4 NIV)
Many couples today are choosing to live together outside God’s covenant of holy matrimony. Without marriage vows the relationship is easy to dissolve if things do not work out. Love without commitment doesn’t exist. If we say we love the Lord Jesus our lifestyle should reflect His Word. Love without commitment doesn’t exist.

Glory in Weakness

My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the
strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may
pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! (2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP)
Our personal insecurities or weaknesses should drive us towards the power of God. Our inadequacies should motivate us to praise Him for His ability to overcome all obstacles. When we “can’t” God “can”!!!

Variety Kills

The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. The Israelites ate manna forty years.
(Exodus 16:31, 35)
High income countries with a great variety of food to feast on have a greater incidence of obesity related cancers, diabetes, and heart disease. Underdeveloped nations tend to eat similar foods without variation and do not have the prevalence of these diseases. A routine diet without the great diversity of foods is better for our health. In ancient times God provided food called manna to sustain His people during a difficult journey. Today God provides us all with the same daily spiritual food as we read His holy Word. Variety kills. Feed on God’s Word!

Anthem of Praise

♫ ♪ “Great and marvelous are your deeds,
Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
King of the ages.
Who will not fear you, O Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.”♫ ♪ (Rev 15:3, 4)
A national anthem is a patriotic musical composition sung before significant events or at the start of a new day to remember the history, traditions and victories of its people. This heavenly anthem of praise represents the last recorded song in the Bible sung before the wrath of God is completed on the earth ushering in the new realm. We sing to recognize Who the sovereign King of kings is and what He has accomplished in the past, present and future.

Be Still

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
(Psalm 23:1)
A good shepherd rests his flock where they can be fed well. If it feels like you are not moving forward in your life maybe the Lord has made you be still so He can feed you some good instructions from His word.”

ONE Fellowship

How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion.
(Psalm 133:1-3 MSG)
Living in harmony and loving fellowship with one another flows from the top down. From the head to the feet. From our thoughts to the steps we take. From the great to the small. From the leaders to the followers.

Broken Walls

A person without self-control
is like a city with broken-down walls. (Proverbs 25:28)
A fence or wall around a house prevents uninvited intruders from entering to take everything of value but it also prevents children and household animals from going outside on the street and getting into trouble. Lack of self-control permits child-like behaviours and animal-like lusts to escape from within ourselves leaving us vulnerable to enemy predators waiting to demoralize our reputation.

Still Waters

“He leads me beside the still waters. (Psalm 23:2)
The waves of lively but meaningless activities toss us to and fro all day long but we find peace when we let the Lord lead us.”

But God is my helper.
The Lord keeps me alive!
(Psalm 54:4 NLT)
The word “but” is used as an intensifying conjunction to introduce an exclamatory expression or a contrary statement. The phrase “but God” is used 69 times in the Bible to indicate how only He is able to divinely intervene on our behalf contrary to any impossible circumstances that may be confronting us.

Organized Rescue

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
(Ephesians 4:11)
The Emergency Medical System (EMS) has many levels of support to organize resources for major accidents or disasters. Hospitals collaborate care with the fire and police departments all under the authority of an incident commander in an effort to save lives. Under the authority of Christ the church as a hospital for souls has appointed organizational leaders who serve in an effort to rescue lives from eternal death.
