Pass His Test

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. (Psalm 138:8)
A perfectionist is someone who has
a personal standard, attitude, or philosophy that demands perfection and rejects anything less. The Lord is a perfectionist when it comes to preparing His children to advance to their next grade level in life. Often we may find ourselves repeating similar lessons over and over again. The Lord wants us to pass His tests before we graduate from the school of this life.

Our One Thing

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. (James 5:13)
Impossible circumstances arise in our lives rendering us helpless and the only thing that we are able to do is pray. This only thing is the one thing that God desires. God is able to resolve any problem that we have instantly but He wants to hear the voices of His children. We can either initiate dialogue and pray to God independently or stubbornly wait for life’s adversity to submit us to our knees. God wants to be our One thing.

Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11 AMP)
The caterpillar comes out of it’s tomb emerging as a beautiful butterfly with wings spread and is lifted up by the wind to experience an entirely new realm of existence. We resurrect from the consequences of sin by completely surrendering our lives to Jesus. As new creatures with arms raised in worship we wait for the rushing wind of the Holy Spirit to lift us up soaring to a new spiritual dimension.

No More Tears

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4)
In this life the pain of separation from the death of loved ones or when they move away causes the most grief. If we didn’t experience this pain on earth we would not be able to fully appreciate the removal of these tears in heaven. To appreciate Heaven’s best we must experience Earth’s worst.

Kingdom Benefits

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 NKJV)
When we choose sinful behaviors the products of living unrighteously are fear, anxiety and depression. When we choose to live righteously we will experience peace and joy in the Holy Spirit as benefits of the kingdom of God in our lives.

Soul Sickness

Jesus went on: “It’s what comes out of a person that pollutes: obscenities, lusts, thefts, murders, adulteries, greed, depravity, deceptive dealings, carousing, mean looks, slander, arrogance, foolishness—all these are vomit from the heart. There is the source of your pollution.”
(Mark 7:20-23 MSG)
A doctor diagnoses physical disease by examining the vile bodily discharges that come from within a person. The Lord diagnoses soul sickness by examining the sinful behaviors that flow from our hearts. The cure is only one prayer away by repenting and asking Jesus to forgive our sins.

Tender Hearts

“I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. (Ezekial 36:26 MSG)
The leading cause of death in the USA is hardening of the heart’s arteries. Thank you Lord for changing our stubborn hardened hearts into tender, responsive hearts towards You.”

The Best High

“You, whose name alone is the Lord, Are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:18)
Life offers many pleasures, sensations and experiences but there is no high like the MOST HIGH!!!”

“Everything comes from him; Everything happens through him; Everything ends up in him.
(Romans 11:36 MSG)
Jesus gives us new life. Jesus removes our sin. Jesus receives all the glory.”

“Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”
(Revelation 21:5)
God is in the restoration business. He gives us a new life, a new future and a new heart.”
