But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
Mark 4:37-38
Our physical bodies are like boats transporting our souls to the other side of this lake called life. Always remember that Jesus is in the back of our vessels steering us towards our destiny. Jesus already new the storm was coming and the boat was going to take on a little water so he raised His head on a cushion to comfortably rest and not get wet. The cushion would also protect His head from the fierce rocking of the boat. We are all going to pass through a few storms in this lake called life. Let us position our heads on the cushion of the promises of God’s Word to protect us from the waves of doubt and comfortably rest in His presence casting all of our cares on Him along the journey.
