Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” were eating there with Jesus and his followers. Many people like this followed Jesus. When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with the tax collectors and “sinners,” they asked his followers, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
(Mark 2:15, 16 NCV)

Jesus was God Himself but humbly came to earth to live as one of us sitting at a table and sharing a meal with sinners. He loves us and treats us as friends. King Jesus says “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you will eat with me.” (Revelation 3:20) This divine dinner guest waits for a dinner invitation from us. Share a meal today in fellowship with King Jesus on the table of your heart.
