When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.
(Proverbs 29:2 NLT)

It is difficult to find a good leader who is not complacent with regards to God’s moral laws. The Bible says that “not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20) For this reason the Bible instructs us to “pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God.” (1 Timothy 2:2) We are all guilty of being too quick to criticize our leaders and too slow to pray for them. We can vote the bad leaders out or we can pray godly leaders in. I made freedom count. I prayed. Did you?
