While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” came and ate with him and his disciples.
(Matthew 9:10 NIV84)

Thanksgiving is a time when families and friends gather together to enjoy each others company by sharing a traditional holiday meal. Great effort goes into making travel arrangements to arrive on time for dinner and when everyone is present the celebration begins. It is easy to spend time with loved ones but the Lord Jesus chose to eat with societies’ outcasts because they invited Him into their house. Jesus first met the sinners that He came to save over dinner. For all those who invite Jesus inside their hearts to rule as their Savior King the Lord will again share a meal with them at the end of the age which the Bible refers to as “the wedding supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9) Blessed are those who are invited to eat with the King!
