You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.
(Psalms 63:5 NLT)

Data from the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey*, 2009–2010 indicated that more than one-third of adults and almost 17% of youth were obese in 2009–2010. Obesity increases the risk of a number of health conditions including hypertension, adverse lipid concentrations and type 2 diabetes. Eating rich foods results in obesity but has also been linked to depression by causing the neurotransmitter dopamine to elevate in the brain which subsequently crashes similar to the affects from illicit drugs. The food high creates a vicious cycle where people who are depressed eat to feel better but get fatter and feel even more depressed as the dopamine levels drop. The presence of the Lord in our lives is the cure for depression. We satisfy our souls with the bread of life Jesus Christ. There is no need to live for temporary hormonal food highs when we can experience the MOST HIGH God in our hearts.
