How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
(Psalm 139:17 NIV)

The world has a voice broadcasting live the media waves of it’s agenda into our thoughts all day long. Neurology research indicates that the average person has between 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts each day. Our brains are bombarded continuously by the noise of the multimedia waves that surround us. The Bible says we are what we think. “as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) The Lord also speaks in our thoughts if we can remain quiet long enough to hear them. The key is to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5) God’s thoughts should be precious to us and “we must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”(Hebrews 2:1 NIV) Let us think about our thoughts before they carry themselves through.
