“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”
(Micah 5:2 NASB)

The prophet Micah recorded this prophecy between the years 750 – 686 BC to reveal that Bethlehem would be the birthplace of the Messiah. The meaning of the name Bethlehem in Hebrew means the “house of bread”. Bread gives us strength and Jesus declared “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger” Jesus came to feed spiritually hungry people with everlasting life.
