In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ.
(Galatians 3:28, 29 MSG)

In nuclear science fusion is the process that powers the sun and the stars. It is the reaction in which two atoms of hydrogen combine together, or fuse, to form an atom of helium. In the process some of the mass of the hydrogen is converted into energy which can be harvested to fuel useful activities. Fusion is successful when the atoms of hydrogen are heated to very high temperatures so they have sufficient energy to fuse. The atoms must be held together long enough for fusion to occur before they can fly apart. Similarly, the Holy Spirit empowers multicultural believers to unite as one in Christ in communities of faith all over the globe. With sufficient time together the resulting multicultural fusion of faith releases the love of Christ to transform the world.
