And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them], So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.
(1 Corinthians 2:4, 5 AMP)

There are many eloquent public speakers who may seem knowledgeable but the best words of wisdom come from the Lord. The Apostle Paul spoke to people from his own practical experience during his missionary travels as he personally witnessed the power of God transforming lives all around him. The Christian faith is dynamically related to how we act and live in the experiential world. Faith is an action and the power of the Holy Spirit is always associated with action. Paul acted out practical Christianity in his daily life in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit divinely inspired him to speak everything he learned as it related to Christ Jesus. Thoughts lead to words and words lead to actions. What thoughts are we thinking and what words are they telling us to say? Only God’s Word has the power to transforms lives.
