I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
(John 17:15 NKJV)

Some animals are very territorial and will aggressively fight any unwanted intruder using vicious intimidation tactics. The Bible says that “we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.(Ephesians 6:12) These evil adversaries are organized by rank and territory and will viciously attack to invoke fear through intimidation. Anytime Christians enter into new territory for the kingdom of God there will be spiritual opposition in retaliation. For this reason the last prayer the Lord Jesus made while on the earth for His disciples before He ascended to heaven was a prayer of protection from the evil one. The apostle Paul also instructed us to “pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:18) May the Lord Jesus protect all of us from the evil one as we expand the kingdom of God throughout the world for His glory. When animals attack we pray for one another!
