The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
(Psalm 34:17 NIV)

When a child cries out in the middle of the night loving parents arise to comfort them and soon they fall peacefully back to sleep. Good parents would never abandon their children. The Lord says “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18) As children of the living God we have the love of the eternal Father to comfort our fears when we cry out for help in the darkness of life’s difficult circumstances.
