“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere” -Jesus
(Acts 1:8 NLT)

Everyone wants to have the power to perform better in life. The disciples of Jesus received the power of the Holy Spirit when tongues of fire descended on the faithful remnant who remained waiting in prayer in an upper room. This occurred on the day of Pentecost which was 50 days after the Jewish feast of the first fruits at the time of the small initial Spring field harvest. God empowers us with the Holy Spirit when we cooperate with his mission by offering him the small initial fruit of our labor of lost souls from earth’s vast harvest fields. Many people want God’s power to move in their situations but have no inclination to serve God with that power. The Holy Spirit empowers us for service in God’s mission fields. The Fall harvest is much greater then the Spring harvest and so great power of the Holy Spirit will be invested in the mission field laborers who are willing to fill heaven’s barns with souls for the Kingdom of God.
