“She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.”
(Genesis 3:6 NLT)

Quite often we come across people who offend us. We may even ask what causes so much conflict in this world? The original conflict also known as sin occurred when Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to her husband Adam to eat also. Breaking God’s law is at the root of all relationship conflict that we have today because future generations inherited this sinful nature. Jesus died on the cross to redeem us from our sins and we become a new creation filled with God’s Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit then produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23) Ironically humanity’s problems began by giving the wrong fruit but now our relationships can be restored if we exchange the right fruit of the Spirit to one another.
