“Jesus also told them other parables. He said, “The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!”
(Matthew 22:1-3 NLT)

I went to a wedding once and noticed that several people attempted to enter the wedding banquet but their names were not found on the guest list because they didn’t bother to respond to the wedding invitation. Of course this created much havoc and confusion. Imagine just showing up at a wedding and expecting to be seated for dinner without responding to the invitation. Most definitely you would be asked to leave. Many people erroneously assume that they will go to heaven when they die because they have been relatively “good” but without accepting the personal invitation from Christ Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of your life there is no way into heaven. The bridegroom King Jesus has a wedding feast planned for for all those who respond. “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” (Rev 19:9) Are you going to the wedding? RSVP ASAP!
