“I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.”
(Romans 12:1 NLT)

I was walking along a beach board walk one day and I couldn’t help notice all the nails securing the deck boards so that others could walk safely above. The nail surrenders to the hammer enduring each strike for the structural benefit of the deck being built. The Lord Jesus surrendered himself for the benefit of others. “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) Jesus came to earth to be the perfect sacrifice enduring the cross so that many would safely reach their eternal destination of heaven above. God is in the construction business and he is calling his true worshippers to be tough as nails in their sacrificial love for one another to build his Kingdom.
