“As Paul gathered an armful of sticks and was laying them on the fire, a poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, bit him on the hand. But Paul shook off the snake into the fire and was unharmed.”
(Acts 28:3, 5 NLT)

Sometimes life’s circumstances arise that limit our actions. It seems that our hands our tied preventing us from doing what is necessary. In the Bible the Apostle Paul’s hands were chained as a prisoner for speaking the truth about Christ. He was being transported to Rome for trial when their sailing vessel shipwrecked on an island. Finally his shackles were removed but then a poisonous snake fastened itself to Paul’s hand. Miraculously the viper did not harm Paul and his hands remained free to pray for the healing of the sick throughout the island. Satan will always attempt to fasten our hands rendering us ineffective in doing God’s will but nothing can paralyze the ministry gifts that the Lord has given us for loving others.
