“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.”
(Deuteronomy 32:2 NIV)

I had a plant on my doorstep where I live that was nearly dead. I was away for a couple of weeks on vacation and the plant never received any water or sunlight. The poor plant was all brown and shriveled up. When I returned from my vacation I started to water the plant daily and put it in the sunlight. I also put used tea leaves in the soil of the pot to replace soil minerals. When a plant receives light from the sun and is watered daily with proper soil nutrients it blossoms. Some of our lives are all dry and shriveled up spiritually because we have been on a vacation from the God who gave us life. When our heart is illuminated to recognize the Savior Jesus as the Son of God and we receive daily water and nutrients from the truth of his Word our lives blossom.
