“God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor— not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 NLT)

Spiders use different strategies to capture prey: trapping it in sticky webs, lassoing it with sticky bolas, and mimicking the prey to avoid detection. Then the spider injects venom to paralyze the victim and regurgitates digestive fluids onto the prey to liquefy the carcass so it can be eaten.(1) The spider’s deadly reputation causes many people to fear them but the bite of sexual immorality is even more lethal. Sexual immorality traps its prey with lust in disguise as love. The venom of sexual immorality paralyzes the victim from fulfilling God’s purpose. The hope of eternal life is eaten away as the guilt of sin condemns the soul to eternal destruction. Avoid the spiders web and flee from sexual immorality.
