“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16, 18 NIV)

There are all types of flowers in the field. There are big flowers and small flowers. There are tall flowers and short ones. Some flowers are very pretty and others not so pretty. There are new flowers and withered flowers. The one thing common to all flowers and all people is that their outward beauty does not last. “How frail is humanity! How short is life, how full of trouble! We blossom like a flower and then wither. Like a passing shadow, we quickly disappear.” (Job 14:1, 2) We can rejoice in knowing “that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus” to live forever where the flowers never fade. (2 Corinthians 4:14)
