“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own.”
(Philippians 3:20, 21 NLT)

Everyone wants to look young and live forever so they suppress the reality that one day the sun is going to set for all of us in this mortal existence. Immortality is a popular theme in Hollywood and the recent “Twilight” movies center around this timelessness in the portrayal of supernatural vampires. But in the Twilight Saga these immortal beings can still be destroyed with fire. Vampires can be destroyed but God’s children of the light will live forever with Jesus. “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Rev 20:15) But God’s children survive and have life by the blood of Jesus. “And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.” (Romans 5:9) So when this life dims towards twilight God’s children will shine glorious in the light of Jesus.
