Inexpressible Joy

You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory. (1 Peter 1:8 NCV)
Children of God have a reason to smile being filled with the Holy Spirit and joy in the assurance that they will spend eternity in the presence of King Jesus. The Bible says that in the presence of God there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11) and that the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) This overflowing joy is powerful enough to break down all socioeconomic, racial or interpersonal barriers to unify all worldwide believers that we may be one as King Jesus so desires for His Church.

The Best High

“You, whose name alone is the Lord, Are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:18)
Life offers many pleasures, sensations and experiences but there is no high like the MOST HIGH!!!”

And the disciples were continually filled [throughout their souls] with joy and the Holy Spirit. (Acts 13:52)
The central motivation for many people in this world is to obtain personal pleasure. Followers of Christ are continually filled with joy being certain of their eternal treasure.

Unusual Provision

“Jesus said: go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin.
If we have faith to obey the Lord’s instruction He is able to provide all of our needs even in the most unusual ways.”

“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. (Psalm 16:11) Even Monday morning can be delightful knowing that the Lord is leading your way.”

Real Joy And Love

if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
(Genesis 4:7)
If sin was not fun who would do it?
Look to the Lord above for true joy and love.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. (Haggai 2:8)
Why focus all of our efforts pursuing wealth to achieve success and happiness in life when we can pursue the One who created all the wealth in the universe?

Real Joy

Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!”
(Neh 8:10)
The Bible does not say that the joy of a new iPad, a new boyfriend or girlfriend, a new car or any other circumstance is our strength but the real joy of the LORD is our strength which we receive when we live according to His will for our lives.

Willing to Work

The Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. (Deut16:15)
God blesses our harvest but we still to have to plant seed, care for the land and gather crops. God abundantly blesses those willing to work and gives us the joy to appreciate it.

Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
(James 1:2)
God has extreme patience as He waits for us to turn to Him and so patience is a virtue that He desires to also build in us.
